About the Valley Central Scholarship Council
Founded in 1964, the Valley Central Scholarship Council is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the students of Valley Central High School. We provide scholarships and help cover the cost of Advanced Placement (AP) exams and SUNY Orange college courses for VCHS seniors.
Since our founding, we have awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships and assistance to Valley Central students. Funding comes from community fundraisers including the annual Holiday Craft Fair, Duck Derby, and Designer Bag Bingo.
The Council is operated entirely by parent and community volunteers — neighbors giving their time so that every graduating class has the encouragement and resources to pursue what comes next.
The 2027 scholarship application will be available in March 2027. Visit the Scholarships page for details.
